The new album from the co- leader of the ever-popular Steely Dan. Donald Fagen’s third solo album isn’t so much a departure from his work with Steely Dan in general, and Walter Becker in particular, as much as the latest contribution to his own musical cannon. An extremely well produced, perfectly executed and thoughtful addition it is, which Fagan refers to as the conclusion of his trilogy, beginning with The Nightfly, in 1982 and 1993’s Kamakiriad.

Morph The Cat, is a perfect audiophile album. The jaw dropping dynamics and smooth, tight musical performance, make it an essential release for both Donald Fagan and Steely Dan fans alike.

Produced by Donald Fagan and featuring many of the studio musicians involved on previous Steely Dan releases, this is probably the apex of his musical work since the release of Two Against Nature, in 2000.
