A blistering garage rock debut full length from this young Ohio band, that is as indebted to Wilco, as much as Husker Du for their energy and gritty innovation. Far from following too closely in the steps of their influences or peers, The Sun, do much more here than just get it right, they are exceptional. From the opening chords of Must Be You, to this memorable albums close, Valentine, there is never a dull moment. An excellent recording rounds out this very well balanced and enjoyable album. Please play loud, as it’s the next best thing to seeing them live.
