Reports from all parts of the Country are the same... Record Store Day 2009 was a huge success. Music fans were reportedly lined up for well over an hour just to get in to such stores as Other Music in NYC and Amoeba Music in Los Angeles. Business was insanely brisk at Grimey's in Nashville where upwards of 2,000 fans jammed their parking lot for performances by Stardeath And White Dwarfs, Mute Math and others.
The Flaming Lips were spotted trying to buy their exclusive 7", but didn't have any luck... the store went through the 60 they had in an hour or so.

Not only have we developed quite a line of records to sell, we are about to re launch the site with a whole new look and feel.
A real store if you will...that will allow us to communicate with all vinyl freaks that care to join and with tons of vinyl goodies.
I am really going to blog about what we are up to, what cool records I have bought, what records sound awesome, what ones don't and
a whole lot more.

Thanks for caring about vinyl and becausesoundmatters... you are going to dig what we have up our sleeve.

How about the heat on VINYL these days? Amazing that every day there is a story somewhere about records!!! Far out.
It was all the rage at the NARM this week in SF. That is a big retail convention and vinyl was on fire... The new SPIN has a story on it which features our own lovely Metallica reissues. Are you digging those? The reviews from fans has been over the top and caused us to bum a few folks out by not getting enough copies out. Who knew we would need 10,000+? Hey always order your records here and you won't have a problem finding it, and we are open 24 hours to rock your world.

R.E.M. "Accelerate" and The Black Keys "Attack & Release" both have bonus CDs of their full records with the vinyl.
I like the idea of including a CD better than a download. Then you can decide what type of file you want. May well do some DLs in the future but for now when we can, expect a CD.
